BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Four Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse players, including one First-Team selection in junior Billy McMahon, were voted to the All-Southern Athletic Association teams, the league office announced today.
Freshman midfielder McHale Schneider (Roswell, Ga.), freshman defenseman Robert Dozier (Jacksonville, Fla.), and senior short stick defensive midfielder Peter Raffanti (Brentwood, Tenn.) were also named Honorable Mention All-Conference.
McMahon, a defenseman from Birmingham, Ala., played and started in all 17 of the Panthers' games this season, anchoring the defense and recording 14 ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
Schneider led BSC this season in goals (24), assists (19), and points (43), rankings sixth in the SAA in assists and ninth in shots (89). Dozier led the team and was fifth in the conference with 21 caused turnovers, and was fifth with 30 ground balls. Raffanti recorded 16 goals and five assists for 21 points, as well as 40 ground balls and eight caused turnovers.
