BSC Holds On for 10-9 Win at Centre

DANVILLE, Ky. – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team battled back and forth with Centre College Sunday afternoon on the road before winning 10-9. BSC is now 5-7 overall, 2-2 against Southern Athletic Association opponents.  The win stopped a two-game skid for the Panthers.

Tanner Schneider (Roswell, Ga./Roswell HS) scored a game-high four goals off seven shots on goal.  His final goal was the game winner halfway through the fourth quarter.

Matt Quill (Fort Mill, S.C./Coker College) earned the win after grabbing a team-high 10 saves in just over 19 minutes in cage.  He and the Panthers defense held Centre scoreless for nearly 10 minutes down the stretch to secure the win.

The Panthers return home on Saturday, April 8 against Hendrix College.  Game time is set for 1 p.m.
