ATLANTA – The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team blew past Oglethorpe University 23-5 on Sunday afternoon, improving to 9-5 overall and 2-3 in the Southern Athletic Association.
Junior Peyton Taylor (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) led the Panthers with six goals in the match, increasing his season total to a team-high 41 goals.
Six other Panthers finished the game with multiple goals, including freshman Crawford Tindle (Birmingham, Ala./Mountain Brook HS) who was second on the team in goals in the game with three.
Four different Panthers appeared in goal against the Stormy Petrels, playing 15 minutes each. Freshman Matt Goin (Orlando, Fla./Edgewater HS) got the win, the first of his career.
Birmingham-Southern wraps up the regular season on the road at Hendrix next weekend, Saturday, April 14. Start time for the match against the Warriors is set for 1 p.m. CT.
