BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- The Birmingham-Southern men's lacrosse team fell on the road to Bridgewater 18-10 on Thursday night.
The loss was BSC's first of the season, dropping the Panthers to 2-1 overall.
Bridgewater took an opening 4-0 lead in the first quarter but the Panthers and Eagles each scored two goals in the second. At the halftime break, BSC trailed 6-2.
Birmingham-Southern was outscored in each period of the second half, 7-4 and 5-4, giving the home side the 18-10 victory.
Senior Matt Quill (Fort Mill, S.C./Coker College) got the start in goal for BSC, playing 44 minutes and was given the loss. He had four saves.
The Panthers continue their road trip and will travel to take on Southern Virginia at 2 p.m. ET on Saturday, Feb. 23.
