Men's soccer ends on high note, beats Hendrix 2-0
CONWAY, Ark. - The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team ended their 2008 schedulewith a 2-0 win over the Hendrix College Warriors in Conway on Sunday afternoon.
The Panthers were outshot on the day 13-11 by the Warriors, but they made theirs count getting a goal in each half to put Hendrix away. Tyler Evans scored in the 26th-minute off an assist from Daniel Jackson. Andrew Stein capped the scoring in the 52nd with Evans getting the assist.
'Southern keeper Hal Halbert posted another flawless performance with six saves in the full 90 minutes. Hendrix was unable to capitalize off its eight corners. The win improves BSC to 4-16 on the year, the Panthers having won two of their last four matches to end the season.
