BIRMINGHAM, Ala. Birmingham-Southern men’s soccer coach Preston Goldfarb announced today the addition of Charles Boles to the 2009 recruiting class.

A three-year starting goalkeeper for George Jenkins High School, Boles (6’2”, 195 lbs.) was named to the All-District and All-County teams his last two seasons and has been nominated for All-State for the 2008-09 season.  As a junior at GJHS, Charles helped lead the Eagles to a district championship.  His senior season finished with a return to the district final, 12 shut outs and a .30 Goals Against Average allowing only 7 goals in 23 games.   Boles holds a school and county record of 17 shutouts recorded during his junior year.
