Panthers drop 4-1 decision to Jonhs Hopkins at Sewanee
SEWANEE, Tenn. – The BSC men’s soccer team lost their first game of the Kyle Rote, Jr. Invitational to Johns Hopkins University, 4-1.
The Blue Jays scored first in the 18th minute, but Sean Head tied the match in the 19th with an unassisted goal of his own. But Johns Hopkins offense was just too much for the Panthers as they rattled off two more unanswered goals in the second half to wrap up the victory.
The Panthers will not have to wait long to get back on the right side of the scoreboard. They will face The University of the Ozarks on Sunday at noon in the third game of the KRJI – hosted by The University of the South-Sewanee. BSC will return to BSC Soccer Park next Friday, September 12 at 7:30 p.m.
