Men's Soccer wins 2-1 over Washington & Lee

SEWANEE, Tenn. -
The BSC men's soccer team traveled to Sewanee this weekend for the Sewanee Kyle Rote, Jr. Classic and defeated Washington & Lee in game one, 2-1.   The win keeps the Panthers unbeaten on the young season at 3-0.

#Tyler Evans# scored both Panther goals on the day, with the first coming from #Nicholas Reitmeier# in the 21st-minute.  The Panthers would take their 1-0 advantage into the break.

Evans scored again in the 57th-minute off a connector from #Andrew Shelton# to put the Panthers up two midway through the second half.

Wash. & Lee got on the board in the 69th-minute to cut the BSC lead down to one, but were unable to even the score before time expired.

The Panthers out-shot Wash. & Lee 10-2 on the day.  #Shachar Hovan# played the full 90 minutes in goal for the Panthers, with one save and allowing the sole General's goal.

BSC will return to wrap up the Kyle Rote Classic tomorrow as they take on Emory & Henry in game three at noon.
