Panthers net two late goals for 2-1 win over Colorado College
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Birmingham-Southern's #Kyle Sherrin# found the net twice in ten minutes to give the Panthers their eleventh win of the season, defeating the Colorado College Tigers 2-1 at BSC Soccer Park.
The win snaps a three-game scoreless streak dating back to mid October. Kyle scored the Panthers' first goal in the 75th-minute off a pass from #Tyler Evans# to tie the game at one goal apiece. The Tigers' Jordan Reese scored Colorado College's lone goal back in the 18th-minute, giving CC a 1-0 lead that they held for most of the match.
Just as things seemed destined for overtime Sherrin connected with #Tony Crocker# for his second goal of the night, giving BSC the lead and the eventual win.
#Clint Lum# played the full 90 in goal for the Panthers and collected five saves on the night. Shots were even with the Panthers edging the Tigers 16-15.
The Panthers will return to BSC Soccer Park on Sunday to host Austin College. Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
