MOUNT BERRY, Ga.—In the season finale for both teams, the Birmingham-Southern men's and women's soccer teams fell to Berry College on the road today. The women lost 3-0, while the men lost 2-0.
The Panther women end the season at 11-8, the fourth straight season they have achieved 11 or more wins. The men end their season at 5-9-4.
In the women's game, Berry scored twice in the first half, and once again early in the second half. Freshman goalkeeper Jordan Papas played all 90 minutes in goal and made five saves. Junior Linda Amaya and freshman Amanda Babbin led with three shots each; BSC totaled 13 shots (six on-goal), just two less than Berry's 15.
In the men's game, the Vikings scored both of their goals in the second half, one with less than five minutes left to play. Freshman goalkeeper Alex Levinson recorded 12 saves in 90 minutes, which puts him at second on the single-match saves list. Berry out-shot BSC, 19-11 (15-7 on-goal); sophomore Nicholas Reitmeier led the Panthers with four shots.
