BSC Soccer Committment Selected To Play For USA Youth Men At 19th Maccabiah Games

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Ravenwood senior soccer player Dylan Rose has been selected to play for the Maccabi USA Youth Men's Soccer Team at the 19th World Maccabiah Games in Israel in July.

More than 7,000 world-class athletes from over 60 countries are expected to participate in the sporting event for Jewish athletes. It is the third largest international sporting event in the world.

Rose is a senior co-captain for the Raptors, who have been district champion and state quarterfinalistthe past two seasons.

He also played for Tennessee Soccer Club's U18 Boys Premier and won the Brentwood Soccer Club's Future Star of Tomorrow Award in 2010.

Rose has participated in the Tennessee and Massachusetts Olympic Development Program. He played in Portugal and Spain with the Massachusetts ODP team.

In 2011, he was ranked as the No. 11 player in the South Region Class of 2013 by Top Drawer Soccer.

On Wednesday, Rose will celebrate his intent to enroll and play soccer at Birmingham-Southern College in the fall.
