Men's Soccer loses regular season finale to Millsaps, 4-0

JACKSON, Miss.—The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team closed out the regular season on Saturday, losing to Millsaps on the road 4-0 in Jackson, Miss.

The Panthers are 9-7-1 overall and 3-4 in the Southern Athletic Association; the Majors move to 10-5-2 overall and clinch the SAA regular season title with a record of 5-1-1. Millsaps will play in next weekend's SAA Championship as the top seed, while BSC will be the fifth seed, facing Centre in the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 8, in Conway, Ark.

Millsaps scored once in the first half and then three times in the second half of today's game while holding BSC scoreless for the duration. Chucky Hayden and Nico Roth combined for all four of the Majors' goals.

BSC was out-shot 18-7, 11-5 on-goal. Junior goalkeeper Jonas Heidrich played all 90 minutes and recorded seven saves.
