CONWAY, Ark.—An early goal was all that Centre needed as the Colonels defeated Birmingham-Southern Friday afternoon in the Southern Athletic Association Men's Soccer Championship, hosted by Hendrix in Conway, Ark.
Fifth-seeded BSC ends its season with a record of 9-8-1, while fourth-seeded Centre moves to 9-5-3 and advances to tomorrow's semifinals to face top-seeded Millsaps at noon.
Cameron Miller scored for Centre in the third minute of the game, and it would be the only goal of the match. Centre out-shot BSC 15-5, 4-2 on-goal, led by junior Johannes Loeffler with two shots. Junior goalkeeper Jonas Heidrich made three saves in 90 minutes of play.
