Seniors Lead Panthers in 3-0 shutout of LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – In their first match in nine days, the Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team shutout LaGrange College 3-0 Wednesday night on Panther Field.  Three seniors provided the goals to lift BSC to victory.  The Panthers are now 4-0 on the year.


Conner Quiggle (Franklin, Tenn./Franklin HS) scored the eventual game winner in the 58th minute on pass from Patrick Erickson (Washington, D.C./St. Stephens & St. Agnes School).  It was his first of the season.  Less than 10 minutes later, Dallas Coyne (Vestavia Hills, Ala./Vestavia Hills HS) put a pass from Tylan Jones (Peachtree City, Ga./College of Charleston) in the back of the net, extending the lead to 2-0.


Dylan Rose (Brentwood, Tenn./Ravenwood HS) would secure the win in the 80th minute on a pass from Jackson Lynn (Homewood, Ala./Homewood HS).


Kurt Moore (Euharlee, Ga./Darlington School) spent a full 90 minutes in goal, earning his first collegiate shutout with three saves. He and the Panthers defense allowed just three shots on goal.


BSC returns to action this Saturday, Sept. 17 when they head to Lynchburg, Va. to take on Randolph College at noon ET.  They then head to face Hampden-Sydney on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m. ET
