SAA Tournament: Men's Soccer Seeded Fifth

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern men's soccer team starts its journey for a Southern Athletic Association championship this Saturday, Oct. 29.  The fifth seeded Panthers travel to take on No. 4 seed Centre College at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Panthers hosted the first round of the SAA Tournament last year, but fell 1-0 to Rhodes.  They will be looking to move beyond the quarterfinals with 11 seniors on the roster, eight of whom are starters.

The last time BSC traveled to Danville, Ky. was back on October 7 of this year where they fell 3-2 in regulation.

The teams went scoreless in the first half before alternating goals in the second.  The Colonels scored the eventual game winner with just over a minute to play.

Centre made it to the conference semifinals last season. They lost to eventual champion Millsaps College 5-0.
