Men's Tennis defeats Millsaps, Centre at Rhodes Invitational

The Birmingham-Southern men's tennis team went 2-1 this weekend at the Rhodes College Invitational, dropping a 5-2 decision to the Lynx but defeating Millsaps College, 7-2, and Centre College, 9-0. The Panthers move to 10-4 on the season.

In the Rhodes match, #Michael Locandro# and #John Crawford Freeman# won at the top doubles spot, 8-4, and Locandro picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at the top singles spot for the Panthers' only two points of the match.

Against Millsaps, Locandro/Freeman won 8-4, while #Faris Pacha# and #Matt Mabry# won 8-4 at two doubles, and #Will Boucek# and #Clayton Simons# won 8-2 at the third spot. In singles, Locandro, Pacha, #John Zukley#, and Mabry were all victorious.

Against Centre, the Panthers won at every spot for the 9-0 win.

BSC is at home tomorrow, April 7, taking on Mississippi College at 2 p.m. at the BSC Tennis Complex.
