Jimmy Weinacker hired to head BSC Men's Tennis program

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham-Southern College has hired Jimmy Weinacker as its Head Men's Tennis Coach, Athletic Director Joe Dean, Jr., announced today.

A well-known name in the Alabama tennis world, Weinacker has been the Director of Tennis at Pine Tree Country Club in Birmingham, Ala., since 2006, and prior to that served as Director of Tennis at MBST, The Club at Rock Creek, and Skyline Country Club. He was inducted into the Alabama Tennis Hall of Fame in 2010, and in 2014 served as Head Coach for the Alabama Junior Davis Cup Team. From 2008 to 2012, Weinacker was President of the Alabama Junior Tennis Council, and he was also the Southern Division Coach for the National 12-U Zonal Team.

Weinacker is a nine-time national Father-Son Champion paired with his son, former BSC Head Coach Jay Weinacker. His youngest son, Jacob, also is currently a sophomore for the Panthers.
