Men Fall 6-3 in Orlando Opener

ORLANDO, Fla. – Birmingham-Southern men's tennis fell 6-3 Friday against Augustana at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

Jameson Bekaert (Johns Creek, Ga./Rivers Academy) and Isaac Eck (Boca Raton, Fla./Home Schooled) won 8-5 in the No. 1 doubles position.  Ethan Gibson (Huntsville, Ala./Covenant Christian) and Hunter Hoffmeister (Longwood, Fla./Orangewood Christian HS) also picked up wins.  Gibson pulled out a win in No. 4 singles (6-4, 3-6, 6-3), and Hoffmeister won 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 6 spot.

The Panthers (2-2) continue competition tomorrow when they take on Clark University and Cornerstone.
