MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's cross country teams ran at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic, Saturday evening in Memphis, Tenn., with the men finishing 13th of 29 teams and the women finishing 15th of 36 teams.
On the women's side, Mary Elaine Williamson was the top finisher for BSC with a time of 19:36.68, finishing 31st, followed by Caitlin Hodges at 80th with a time of 20:56.12. Emily Moore was the third Panther with a time of 22:04.82, followed by Katie Sack (22:11.30), Maggie Zernick (22:21.15), Katelyn Carroll (22:50.51), Terza Weston (25:20.24), and Hannah Scott (28:02.27).
For the men, Justin Leach was the top finisher, coming in 42nd with a time of 27:04.14, followed by Forrest Boughner at 50th with a time of 27:23.98, James Watters at 82nd (28:29.41), and Blake McDaniel at 92nd (28:39.56). Jack Heath finished with a time of 29:22.48, followed by Christian Strevy (30:18.30), Reed Kramer (30:36.25), and Alex Darden (32:28.33).
The Panthers are back in action next weekend at the Alabama Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
