HUNTSVILLE, Ala.—The BSC men placed fourth and the women seventh as the only Division III teams competing at the Fleet Feet Sports Earl Jacoby Memorial cross country meet, hosted by UAH, Saturday.
On the men's side, junior Robert Willett was the top finisher, placing seventh overall with a time of 27:10. For the women, sophomore Jessica Thornton finished fifth with a time of 19:57.
"I am very proud of the teams for the way they competed today," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "In our season opener we saw some good team and individual performances, and we were a part of that field. There were over 100 runners in both the men's and women's fields, and for us to finish as high as we did as the only Division III school is pretty satisfying."
