BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Sophomore Beth Lefler has been named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball All-Sportsmanship Team.
Lefler, a pitcher from Mount Juliet, Tenn., made six appearances in the circle this year and was 4-1 overall with a 1.04 ERA. She posted three shutouts and struck out 14 batters.
The SCAC is placing a special emphasis on sportsmanship this year, asking all fans of the conference to exhibit good sportsmanship at all conference functions throughout the 2009-2010 season. Read the SCAC Presidents’ Council statement on Fan Sportsmanship.
Each coach was asked to elect one member from their team who displayed good sportsmanship throughout the season.
