Softball sweeps Spring Hill on the road
MOBILE, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern softball team won two more games today, defeating Spring Hill College twice on the road, both by the score of 2-1.
The Panthers now stand at 11-3 on the season.
In game one, BSC went down 0-1 in the bottom of the fifth inning and came back to score both of its runs in the top of the seventh, courtesy of an RBI single from senior Ashley Bice and a sac-fly from freshman Taylor Bassett.
Senior Ronni Ferris started in the circle and threw four innings, giving up only one hit with three strikeouts. Freshman Bethany Fronk came in for the last three innings and allowed three hits and one earned run.
Both teams recorded four hits each; four different Panthers had single hits.
Statistics from game two were not immediately available.
The Panthers stay on the road to take on AUM this Wednesday in a 2 p.m. doubleheader.
