BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Senior Bethany Fronk was named Southern Athletic Association Softball Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today.
Fronk, a right-hander from Clay, Ala., went 2-0 this past weekend against Sewanee, throwing two complete-game shutouts including a no-hitter on Sunday. She went 10.0 innings and gave up only one hit and one walk with 17 strikeouts. The Tigers hit only .033 against her.
The Panthers are on the road this weekend facing Hendrix in the final conference series of the season.
