BSC Softball Adds Anderson to 2017 Roster

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern College Head Softball Coach Kimball Cassidy announced the addition of Taylor Anderson to the Panthers 2017 roster.  She joins a BSC team that finished the 2016 season ranked No. 7 nationally and third in the Atlantic region.

"We are so excited to have "Tree" join our softball family," said Cassidy.  "She is going to add a lot of enthusiasm and fire to our team.  Tree is one of those student-athletes we know will bust her tail both in the classroom and on the field.  We are lucky to have her."

Anderson, a West Union S.C. native, set the Walhalla High School record by starting 163 consecutive varsity games.  She was a six-year starter for the Lady Razors and helped them to a 3A District 1 Championship in 2012.  Anderson was a three-time First-Team All-Western shortstop, three-time 3A Western Honorable Mention selection, two-time All-Lakes Honorable Mention, and 2016 South Caroline First-Team All-State shortstop.

The two-time team captain finished her career with a .420 batting average and 14 home runs.
