Panthers Rebound to Run Rule Hendrix in Series Finale

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team trailed 3-0 going into the third inning against Southern Athletic Association rival Hendrix College Sunday when its offense exploded for four runs in the third and eight in the fourth.  The Panthers went on to win 12-3 in five innings and improve to 7-4 on the year, 3-0 against SAA opponents.

 

Taylor Anderson (West Union, S.C./Walhalla HS) and Alex Skene (Littleton, Colo./Mullen HS) each went 2-for-2.  Anderson also scored two runs. Skene finished with one run and two RBI.

 

The Panthers hit the road next in SAA play. They take on Rhodes College in a doubleheader on Saturday, March 4.  First pitch is at noon.
