Panthers Split With Stillman, Move to 21-10 Overall

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern softball team topped Stillman College 9-0 in game one of their doubleheader Tuesday before falling 5-4 in the night cap.  The Panthers are now 21-10 overall on the year.

 

Jojo Johnston (Chelsea, Ala./University of Mobile) went a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with a run.  Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) and Savannah Lee (Lascassas, Tenn./Oakland HS) also earned three hits on the day.  Lee finished with a team-best four RBI and scored two runs.

 

Crumpton earned the win, pitching a complete game, two hit shutout.  She struck out seven of the 19 batters she faced and finished with zero walks.

 

BSC hits the road next.  They take on LaGrange College tomorrow in a midweek doubleheader.  First game begins at 4:30 p.m. ET.
