BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – No. 18 Birmingham-Southern softball closed out its home season with a 2-0 win over Southern Athletic Association rival Millsaps College Sunday. BSC (31-5) is now 13-2 in conference play and riding an 18-game win streak. This is the first time since 2016 the Panthers have had a 30+ win season.
Haley Crumpton (Alabaster, Ala./Thompson HS) picked up her 13th win of the season after allowing just one hit in five innings. Collectively, the offense put up six hits, two of which were doubles.
The Panthers now prepare for their final conference series of the season. They head to Sewanee Friday, April 19 for a doubleheader and then close with a single game on Saturday. Both days start at 2 p.m. BSC is currently one game ahead of Berry College in the league. Taking two games from Sewanee would ensure a regular season title and No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament.
