Taylor Moon joined the Panther softball staff in the fall of 2016.
Prior to coming to Birmingham-Southern, Moon was a pitcher on the Belmont University softball team where she holds the sits in third and fourth place for the single-season strikeouts record. She broke the programs single-season ERA record her senior year with 1.47. Moon was also the pitcher during Belmont’s first and only win over an SEC opponent in program history when they defeated Mississippi State.
Moon graduated from Belmont in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Originally from Vestavia, Ala., Moon graduated from Vestavia High School where she lettered all four years and was named to the All-State Tournament team. She currently works as both a nurse and softball coach.
Moon has one younger sister at Auburn University and one younger brother still in the Vestavia School system. She loves dogs and enjoys helping out in any and all softball communities.
