Swimming & Diving falls to national power Emory

ATLANTA, Ga.—The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving teams competed against Emory University today in Atlanta, Ga.

The BSC men lost to No. 6 Emory 135-106. Sophomore Duncan Bonney led the Panthers, winning the 200 free with a time of 1:44.79 and the 200 breast with a time of 2:08.73. Sophomore diver Cody Spradlin also won on the one- and three-meter boards. Sophomore Drew Priede won the 500 free with a time of 4:50.00, and swam the 1000 free in 10:19.9.

The women lost to four-time defending national champion No. 4 Emory 150-93. Sophomore Hannah Busk won the 200 back with a time of 2:11.43 and was third in the 100 fly (1:00.56) and fourth in the 200 IM (2:12.9). Sophomore Molly Waddell also won the 100 free (55.4).

BSC is back in action on Friday, Nov. 8 at 6 p.m. at the LaGrange Invitational in LaGrange, Ga.
