Swimming and Diving records 14 first-place finishes against Sewanee
SEWANEE, Tenn.—The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving teams notched 14 top finishes on Saturday in a dual meet against Sewanee.
On the women's side, sophomore Hannah Busk led with wins in the 200 back and 200 IM, and she was second in the 50 free. Sophomore Kristen Stempak won the 50 free, freshman Sam Laflin won the 100 back, and the Panthers won the 200 free relay with a team consisting of Stempak, sophomore Molly Waddell, sophomore Peyton Langley, and freshmen Marilyn Rowell.
In men's diving, sophomore Cody Spradlin won the one-meter and three-meter, and in swimming sophomore Duncan Bonney led with wins in the 100 breast, 100 free, 200 IM, and 200 medley relay (along with freshmen Scott Taylor and Ben Hodde and sophomore Saul Hack). Sophomore Drew Priede won the 50 free and 200 back, and Taylor won the 100 back to go with his 200 medley relay win.
The Panthers are back in action next weekend at the Berry Invitational in Rome, Ga.
