Swimming and Diving wraps up action at Delta State Invitational

CLEVELAND, Miss.—The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving teams posted 26 more personal bests, four more school records, and four more NCAA cut times on Monday in the final session of the Delta State Christmas Invitational.

Junior Duncan Bonney posted two NCAA cut times in the 200 breast (2:02.81) and 100 free (45.33); his 100 free mark also broke the school record.

Junior Wil Cushman achieved an NCAA cut in the 1650 free with a time of 16:15.06, and freshman Wil Barton achieved an NCAA cut and broke the school record in the 200 back with a time of 1:52.72.

Senior diver Sara Kate Bracewell broke her own 1-meter 6-dive record with a score of 176.8.

The Panthers finished third overall as a team on both the men's and women's sides. BSC takes a break for the holidays before returning to action Jan. 16, hosting Darton State and LaGrange, and Jan. 17, hosting Sewanee and West Florida, both at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
