SHENANDOAH, Texas—After the first day of competition at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship in Shenandoah, Texas, junior Drew Priede finished 10th in the 500-yard freestyle and junior Duncan Bonney was 16th in the 200-yard individual medley.
Priede's time of 4:27.40 broke his own record of 4:30.15. Bonney's time in the 200 IM was was 1:51.45.
Competition continues tomorrow, as the Panthers will compete in the 200-yard freestyle and 400-yard medley relays, and then Priede and junior Wil Cushman will compete in the 200-yard freestyle. Preliminaries are at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. BSC's relay team is made up of Bonney, Priede, Cushman, and freshman Wil Barton.
On Friday, Bonney will race in the 100-yard breaststroke and the Panthers will swim in the 800-yard freestyle relay, and on Saturday Barton will compete in the 200-yard backstroke, Bonney in the 200-yard breaststroke, Priede and Cushman in the 1650-yard freestyle, and the Panthers will race in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
