MOULTRIE, Ga. – The Birmingham-Southern diving team competed against the University of West Florida and Emory University at the Moss Farm Diving Facility on Friday, Sept. 29 through Sunday, Oct. 1
The men, who competed against Emory, defeated the Eagles 22 points to 20. Sophomore Chaz Brouilette (Cullman, Ala./Cullman HS) won the 3-meter event with a score of 270.00. He placed second in the 1-meter with a score of 291.15. Brouilette broke his own program record in the 1-meter.
In the women's 1-meter and 3-meter events against Emory, junior Samantha Loew (Colorado Springs, Colo./Air Academy HS) finished fourth and third, respectively. Loew recorded a score of 134.10 in the 1-meter and 135.55 in the 3-meter.
Loew led the Panthers against UWF, as well, finishing sixth and fifth in the 1-meter and 3-meter, respectively. Her score in the 1-meter was 134.10, and in the 3-meter she had a score of 135.55.
The Birmingham-Southern swimming and diving team will compete next against Berry and Rhodes at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Saturday, Oct. 14.
