Ten Panthers Earn All-SAA Recognition

ATLANTA – Ten Birmingham-Southern men's swimming and diving student-athletes were selected to the 2019 All-Southern Athletic Association Teams, the conference announced Tuesday.

BSC was led by Swimmer of the Year Nico Medina (Hollywood, Fla./American Heritage HS) and Diver of the Year James Hughes (Huntsville, Ala./Grissom HS).

Medina and Hughes were members of the All-SAA First Team, as well as Hayden Henderson (Tupelo, Miss./Tupelo HS), Ryan Emili (Anchorage, Alaska/South Anchorage HS) and Wil Retersdorf (Spring Hill, Tenn./Independence HS).

Max Stoneking (Olathe, Kan./South Olathe HS), Jadie Burney (Huntsville, Ala./Huntsville HS) and RJ Clark (Mobile, Ala./Arnold School) were selected to the Second Team, while Tristan Sumpter (Duluth, Ga./Peachtree Ridge HS) and Justin Staab (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook HS) were Honorable Mentions.
