COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Birmingham-Southern men's and women's swimming and diving teams were both ranked in the top 25 in the latest College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday.
The men's team was ranked No. 25 in the nation in the final poll before the national championships, dropping two spots from No. 23 in the previous poll which was released on Jan. 30.
The women's team jumped into the top 25 to the No. 24 spot after being unranked in the previous CSCAA poll.
Both teams were ranked regionally with the women coming in at No. 7 and the men at No. 6.
Birmingham-Southern captured dual conference championships – the fifth straight for the men and the third consecutive for the women – back on Feb. 16.
The Panthers are sending four student-athletes to the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving National Championships: Junior Becca Erwin (Duluth, Ga./Duluth HS), Anna Jordan Luth (Pensacola, Fla./Booker T. Washington HS), sophomore Mary Beth Ronne (Athens, Tenn./McMinn County HS) and freshman Mary Katherine Stewart (Daphne, Ala./Daphne HS).
