Track & Field successful at Emory Invitational

ATLANTA—The Birmingham-Southern track and field teams had a successful day today at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta.

Highlights included sophomore Shelby Moore winning the javelin (35.52m) and freshman Tiarra Goode placing first in the 100m (12.29) and 100m hurdles (14.71), also recording personal records in each event.

Sophomore Robert Willett placed second in the 400m (50.24), and freshman Robb Johnson was second in the 400m hurdles (57.18).

"Our team really competed and stepped up in a big way this weekend," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "We had a number of personal records and I am excited about the way our team continues to improve."
