Goode, Swanson named SCAC Track & Field Athletes of the Week

SUWANEE, Ga.—Tiarra Goode and Mitch Swanson have been named the SCAC Track and Field Athletes-of-the-Week, respectively, for meets conducted from Monday, April 4, through Sunday, April 10.

Goode, a first-year from Huntsville, Ala., started her day of winning the Hilltop Classic 100-meter hurdles and setting a new personal record of 14.70, finished second in the 100-meter dash (12.41), finished first in the 200-meter dash with another personal record and provisional time of 24.99 and anchored the women's 1600-meter relay that also finished first at the meet.

Swanson, a junior from Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., finished in first place in the long jump with a distance of 6.85 meters, which is a personal and school record and positioned him with the second best mark in the SCAC.

Swanson later went on to finish third in the 400-meter dash with another personal record of 50.08 and was the lead leg in the 1600-meter relay that finished first as well.
