Goode, Thornton qualify for NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championship

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Junior Jessica Thornton and sophomore Tiarra Goode have qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships next weekend at Burns Stadium in Claremont, Calif.

Goode qualified in the 100-meter dash with the fifth-best time in the nation (11.95), the 200-meter dash with the second-best time in the nation (24.23), and the 100-meter hurdles, also with the second-best time in the nation (13.93). Thornton qualified in the 800-meters with the 12th-best time in the nation (2:10.70)

"I am very proud of the way both of these women have competed all year and continue to answer the call to perform week in an out," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "We look forward to representing BSC again at the National Championships and are ready to continue our commitment to excellence and trust in our God-given abilities."
