CLAREMONT, Calif.—Sophomore Tiarra Goode ran the 100-meter hurdles today in 13.87 seconds to win the NCAA Division III outdoor national championship in that event at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College in Claremont, Calif.

This is Goode's second national title after winning the 60-meter indoor hurdle national championship back in March in Grinnell, Iowa.

Goode, who is from Huntsville, Ala., also placed third today in the 100-meter dash (11.91 seconds) and 200-meter dash (24.35 second), giving her All-American status in those events.

Junior Jessica Thornton also competed this weekend in the 800-meter run after winning the SCAC title in that event. She placed 13th in the preliminaries with a time of 2:11.82, beating her SCAC championship time of 2:14.54.
