SEWANEE, Tenn. --  The Birmingham-Southern Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams posted nine first place finishes on Saturday at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational.

SEWANEE, Tenn. --  The Birmingham-Southern Men's and Women's Track and Field Teams posted nine first place finishes on Saturday at the Sewanee Indoor Invitational.

"Our entire team performed well today in every event from start to finish." BSC Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "I am very proud of our growth and the way in which we are learning and getting better each week." This was a very productive way to finish our indoor regular season schedule and I look forward to building on this for the post season and into the outdoor season."

Tiarra Goode highlighted the women's team with three individual wins and was on the winning 4x400 relay team. Goode ran a 7.24 to win the 55-meter dash and clocked an 8.58 to claim the 55-meter hurdles. The junior from Huntsville, Ala., capped her individual events off with a win in the 200-meter dash and a time of 25.44.

Kate Bass won the 800-meter run with a time of 2;37.56.

Bass, Regan Hubbell, Victoria Ports, and Karen Byrd turned in a 4:43.37 to win the 4x400 relay.

Kelsey Holdbrooks paced her way to a runner-up finish with an 11;33.01 in the 3000-meter run and Ports finished fifth with a 6:03.92 mile.

Robert Willett was first in the 800-meter run with a 1:56.31 and Jordan Frazier claimed the top spot with a 8.17 in the 55-meter hurdles. Frazier also was third in the 200-meter dash with a 24.26.

Andy Clack timed a 53.69 to take second in the 400-meter dash and Christian Clesi claimed third in the mile 4:38.97.

Scott Wheat, Clesi and Jordan McKnight finished second, third and fourth in the 3000-meter run. Wheat raced to a 9:36.47, Clesi timed a 9:39.44 and McKnight was right behind with a 9:39.99.

Willett, Frazier, Clack, and Colin Perry teamed to claim gold in the 4x400 relay with a 3:40.47. In the 4x800 relay, Clesi, White, McKnight, Willett, Wheat and David Olsen claimed second with an 8:44.63.

The Panthers placed well in the field events as well. Josh Patton won the triple jump (36-09.55); Aaron Sherrill claimed second in the High Jump (6:02.75); Ryan Ard took second in the Shot Put (40-00.50); and Andrew Reece second in the Weight Throw (44-04.00).

The Panthers round out the indoor season with a Last Chance meet on March 2-3 at a place to be determined before the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships on March 8-9.
