Track and Field opens season this weekend with Indoor Icebreaker

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern track and field team opens the 2013-14 season this weekend at home, hosting the 2013 Indoor Icebreaker at the Birmingham CrossPlex on Friday, Dec. 6.

BSC is one of 19 teams competing from across all divisions; more than half of the field competes at the NCAA Division I level. The teams competing this weekend are:

  • UAB

"We are excited to be kicking off the 2014 Indoor Track & Field season at the CrossPlex!" Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "We have some competitive teams in attendance again this year and everyone is ready to get the meet started tomorrow. We have a host of athletes that we expect to really help our program move forward, and this will be a chance for some of them to experience our sport at its best among the region's top collegiate and elite athletes."
