ATLANTA, Ga.—The men placed 10th and the women were 12th this weekend at the Emory Outdoor Track and Field Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.

The men recorded 40 points to place 10th in the field of 24 teams, while the women posted 26 points to finish 12th in the field of 25.

Highlights included senior Hank Ballard winning the men's javelin throw and senior Cody Mann placing third in the javelin. Senior Christian Clasi was first in the C-section of the men's 5K, and freshman Michael Snow finished fifth in both the shot put and hammer throw. On the women's side, freshman Elise Pittman won the B-section of the 5K, freshman Taylor Davis was fifth in the high jump, and freshman Harper DeWine was fifth in the pole vault.

"It was nice to have a meet during our spring break," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "Our teams had a chance to compete against several division schools early in our outdoor season, which is always good preparation for the rest of the season and the conference championship."

The teams are back in action on Friday, April 4, hosting the Hilltop Twilight Classic at Panther Stadium.
