WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.—Senior Tiarra Goode saw her indoor track and field season come to an end on Friday in the preliminaries of the NCAA Championship in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Goode, a nine-time All-American and two-time national champion, returned this spring after a redshirt season in 2014. She qualified for the national meet this year in the 200-meter dash, and placed 11th in the preliminaries with a time of 25.65. Unfortunately only the top eight finishers qualified for the finals.
"I am so proud of the way she fought throughout the race," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "To come back against all odds has been impressive, and we are encouraged about what will happen during her outdoor season."
Goode will be back in action with the Panthers next weekend at the Emory Invitational in Atlanta, Ga.
