BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern track and field program will once again have a presence at the NCAA Outdoor Championship, as the Panthers have qualified in for post-season competition in four women's events. The championship meet will take place May 21-23 in Canton, N.Y.

Senior Tiarra Goode will compete in all four events, running in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 100-meter hurdles, and the 4x100-meter relay, along with freshman Shay Morton, junior Jothani Dixon, and freshman Karmin Shute. Goode was BSC's first national champion at the Division III level, winning the 2012 indoor 60-meter dash and 2012 outdoor 100-meter hurdles titles.

Goode enters the post-season ranked seventh in the 200m with a time of 24.41 seconds, eighth in the 100m with an 11.95 mark, and ninth in the 100m hurldes with a time of 14.28 seconds. The 4x100 team is eighth in the nation with a time of 47.31.

"I am so proud of our women and the amazing accomplishment of qualifying for nationals," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "At the beginning of our off season, we talked about what it would take to reach our goals and these ladies believed. It will be a great experience for them and for the future of our program. The best is yet to come!"

Exact start times for next weekend's events will be released this week by the NCAA.
