Track and Field opens indoor season Friday at Birmingham CrossPlex

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Birmingham-Southern track and field teams are set to open the 2015-16 season at home this Friday, hosting the BSC Indoor Icebreaker at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

Twenty teams will be competing in the meet, including 13 NCAA Division I schools, two NCAA Division II schools, and five NCAA Division III schools.

"We are very excited about hosting our fifth annual BSC Indoor Icebreaker at the CrossPlex," Head Coach Kenneth Cox said. "Each year we are excited to welcome some amazing teams to Birmingham and this Friday is no different. This early meet offers a great kick-off to the indoor season and great way to see how our student-athletes are shaping up after fall training."
