Weather Stops Falcon Invite, Panthers Compete Well

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Severe weather in the region halted the Montevallo Falcon Track and Field Classic Saturday, but the Birmingham-Southern men's and women's track and field teams were already competing tough.  The men were in sixth place after 15 events and the women were 11th after 18 events against NCAA Division I-III opponents.

Kameren Morgan (Bowie, Md./St. Alban's School for Boys) was the Panthers top finisher when the meet was stopped.  He placed second in the hammer throw with a distance of 54 meters, which broke his previous meet record by nearly six meters.

The Panthers will return home for their next meet.  They host the Hilltop Classic on Saturday, April 1 in Krulak Stadium.  It will be senior day for the Panthers as they honor their graduating student-athletes.
