  • BSC Places 128 on SAA Academic Honor Roll

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Southern Athletic Association announced its 2019 Spring Academic Honor Roll and Birmingham-Southern Athletics had 128 student-athletes recognized.  To earn the honor, student-athletes must have a 3.25 grade point average or higher at the end of the semester.

  • NCAA Championships: Three Panthers Headed to National’s

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern College track and field will be sending three student-athletes to the 2019 NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships this weekend. Senior Kameren Morgan (Bowie, Md./St. Alban’s School for Boys), sophomore Luke Ballard (Hoover, Ala./Hoover HS), and freshman Jordan Jones (Powder Springs, Ga./Hiram HS) will represent BSC at National’s in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute May 23-25 with the University of Mount Union, the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission and SPIRE serving as hosts.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Birmingham-Southern athletics department announced the winners of its awards and recognized the accomplishments of the student-athletes at its 2019 Athletic Awards Dinner Monday night in the Norton Great Hall on BSC's campus.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams placed 14 Panthers on Southern Athletic Association All-Conference teams following the championships.  The men saw nine recognized by the league, and the women five.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams finished fourth and fifth respectively at the 2019 Southern Athletic Association championships Saturday.  They earned 12 top three finishes with five Panthers earning conference titles this weekend.

    ELON, N.C.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams headed to Elon University Saturday for the Phoenix Invitational.  The Panthers had several top 10 finishes as well as an event winner.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern track and field hosted the Hilltop Classic at Krulak Stadium on Saturday and saw a strong showing from both the men’s and women’s teams.  The men finished second and the women third after combining for 22 top three finishes.

    MONTEVALLO, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams saw some big finishes at the Montevallo Falcon Classic this weekend.  The men’s team finished fourth overall while the women tied for fifth, topping programs from all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.

    TROY, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams competed against programs from all divisions of the NCAA Saturday at the Doc Anderson Invitational hosted by Troy University.  The men had a strong showing, finishing third overall, just 15.5 points behind the Division I program from Alabama A&M.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s track and field team won the 2019 Sewanee Indoor Invitational Friday.  Combined with the women’s team, the Panthers took seven events and placed top three in 13.  The women finished third as a team.

  • Shute Wins Rookie Push Championship Title

    LAKE PLACID, N.Y.(August 25, 2018)- Kyle Wilcox(Tampa, Fla.) and Sylvia Hoffman(Arlington, Texas) won the USA Bobsled Rookie Push Championships on the wheeled push track in Lake Placid, N.Y. today, while Quentin Butler(Corpus Christi, Texas) and Karmin Shute (Fayettevilla, Ga.) were victorious in the USA Skeleton Rookie Push Championships. Forty-two rookie athletes competed today¬– seven women and 35 men.
