  • Men Have Strong Showing in Troy

    TROY, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams competed against programs from all divisions of the NCAA Saturday at the Doc Anderson Invitational hosted by Troy University.  The men had a strong showing, finishing third overall, just 15.5 points behind the Division I program from Alabama A&M.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – Birmingham-Southern track and field is locked-in and ready to battle to the top of the Southern Athletic Association this season.  The men are coming off a second place finish after winning back-to-back titles. The women have been steadily climbing in the rankings and are primed for a run at the championship.
  • Men Win Sewanee Indoor Invite

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s track and field team won the 2019 Sewanee Indoor Invitational Friday.  Combined with the women’s team, the Panthers took seven events and placed top three in 13.  The women finished third as a team.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams had several top five finishers at the Sewanee Indoor Track and Field Invitational Saturday against programs from the NAIA and NCAA Divisions II and III.  The women finished third and the men placed fourth.

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala.  – The Birmingham-Southern men’s and women’s track and field teams returned to action at the UAB Vulcan Invite Saturday.  The Panthers competed well against teams from all three divisions in their first meet of the new year.

  • Shute Wins Rookie Push Championship Title

    LAKE PLACID, N.Y.(August 25, 2018)- Kyle Wilcox(Tampa, Fla.) and Sylvia Hoffman(Arlington, Texas) won the USA Bobsled Rookie Push Championships on the wheeled push track in Lake Placid, N.Y. today, while Quentin Butler(Corpus Christi, Texas) and Karmin Shute (Fayettevilla, Ga.) were victorious in the USA Skeleton Rookie Push Championships. Forty-two rookie athletes competed today¬– seven women and 35 men.
