Stephanie Stanley commits to BSC Women's Basketball programBIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Birmingham-Southern women's basketball coach Brad Hodge announced today that Stephanie Stanley, a guard out of Sparkman High School in Harvest, Ala., has completed her intent to enroll in the College and play for the Panthers next season.
Stanley has been awarded an academic Presidential Scholarship by the College. She is a four-year letterwinner at Sparkman, having helped lead the Lady Senators to three Regional finals, two Final Four appearances, and a state title.
Stanley also excels in the classroom and is president of the National Honor Society, having been a member of the Presidential (A) Honor Roll during each semester of her high school career thus far. She is also active in the Medical Professions Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Stanley is taking part in a medical internship through the Medical Professions Academy at Sparkman High School, and plans to attend medical school.
Stanley will be attending Birmingham-Southern next year along with her triplet sisters Katie and Amanda, who have decided to attend Birmingham-Southern on academic scholarships as well.
