Women’s Basketball gets two more commitments for upcoming season

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. The Birmingham-Southern women’s basketball program has received commitments from two more players for the upcoming season, head coach Brad Hodge announced today, as Brandy Broussard and Amanda Predovic have completed their intent to enroll in the college and play for the Panthers.

Broussard is a 5-8 guard out of Vermilion Catholic High School in Abbeville, La. This past season, she averaged 23.5 points, eight rebounds, six steals, and three assists per game, and was named Class A All-State MVP. She was also a two-time Second-Team All-State honoree, 2008 Vermilion Parish Athlete of the Year, 2008 All-Parish Team MVP, and 2008 All-Acadiana. She scored 2,350 career points and helped her squad to an overall record of 101-31.

Predovic is a 5-11 forward transfer from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. A Tulsa native and graduate of Holland Hall High School, Predovic took the court in seven games last season at ORU. At Holland Hall, she was named to the All-Southwest Prep Team and the Southwest Prep All-Tournament Team all four seasons. She averaged 17.5 points and 12.5 boards during her senior season.
