Men's Basketball picked fourth, women picked fifth in SCAC Preseason Eastern Division Poll

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its preseason men's and women's basketball rankings today, as voted on by the head coaches of the conference. The Birmingham-Southern men were picked to finish fourth in the Eastern Division, while the women were picked to finish fifth.

On the men's side, Centre College was tabbed to win both the Eastern Division and the conference title, while DePauw University was picked to win the Eastern Division and the conference on the women's side.

Both the BSC men's and women's teams tip off the 2009-10 season Monday, Nov. 16, as the women face Oakwood University at 5 p.m., and the men face LaGrange College at 7 p.m., both in Bill Battle Coliseum.
